How Can Virtual Reality Change The world?

Virtual reality is one of the most amazing Technologies out their today. With a simple click of a button, you can enter a whole new world. From fighting robots to riding a rollercoaster almost anything is possible with virtual reality. In recent years virtual reality has become more and more accessible to the public, to the point that any average person can have a virtual world of their own at home.

What is Virtual Reality?
Virtual reality is a simulated experience created by wearing a headset over your eyes and ears. A virtual reality headset can simulate visuals through the screen built into the headset and the headphones on the user's ears. Using two lenses with close enough proximity to your eyes the virtual reality headset fools your eyes into seeing one picture. Virtual reality can be used for many things, as of now it's main purpose is gaming, but it can also be used for watching movies and even training pilots how to fly! Most Virtual reality headsets come with two remotes that you hold while in the virtual world. In the virtual world you can look down at the remotes and they will appear to be your hands. The remotes have buttons on them that allow you to open and close your hands, point etc. The buttons on the remote are configured in the best way possible to make it feel like you're using your real hands in the game. While this method works it is not perfect.
Developing Virtual Reality Technologies
Virtual reality companies such as Meta and HTC are constantly working to improve their customers' virtual experience. A new technology that is currently being developed for virtual reality is VR gloves. These gloves are worn during the game and when the player opens and closes the hand or moves their fingers the player's virtual hand will do the same. This will improve the experience of Virtual reality significantly because it allows the user to use their own hands in the game which will make the game feel much more realistic. There is even potential for the gloves to have motors that will stop your fingers from closing when you grab and object in the game, making it feel like there is truly something in your hand.
How can Virtual Reality be helpful?
As I mentioned earlier in this article pilots can train on Virtual Reality. The reason this is so groundbreaking is because it allows a pilot to get a realistic feel of what a plane feels like without ever even flying one. This allows a new pilot to get some experience in flight without having the risk of really crashing. This means the first time a pilot gets into a plane they will already have some flight experience which will lower the risk of the pilots first few real flights. But it doesn't stop there, it can even be used to train athletes. In professional sports such as baseball, virtual reality allows players to train things such as eye hand coordination skills when equipment or training space may not be available.
Conclusion:   Virtual reality is truly at the forefront of technology and continues to improve every year. With not only it's entertainment value but it's real world uses for people like pilots, athletes and many others, Virtual reality has the potential to change the world forever.
