In recent years virtual reality has become more and more accessible to the public, to the point that any average person can have a virtual world of their own at home.
Metaverse
On October 29th, 2021, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced his plans for the future of his massive social media network, called the metaverse. Utilizing detailed and advanced virtual reality technology to create an endless 3D environment, the metaverse is an ambitious concept frequently described in many sci-fi books such as Ready Player One and Warcross. With Zuckerberg’s bold vision coming out of nowhere, the metaverse aims to completely virtualize our lives in an alternate reality that will change the future of technology forever.
Neuralink
Neuralink Corporation is an American neurotechnology company that develops implantable brain–computer interfaces based in Fremont, California. Founded by Elon Musk and a team of seven scientists and engineers, Neuralink was launched in 2016 and was first publicly reported in March 2017.
Spiral Engine
The spiral is a prominent visual cue that accentuates the rotating motion of a jet engine's front air intake fan, so airport ground staff can easily identify a running engine at a glance. An active engine can ingest objects and humans in close proximity, causing damage and fatal injuries
